Cotton is familiar, soft from the first night and inexpensive. It also wears quickly, holds moisture and tends to pill as the short fibers break down. Linen is the opposite: it starts a little crisp and becomes softer over years rather than months.
Flax fibers are long and hollow, which makes the fabric strong and lets it move moisture away from the body. That is why linen feels cool in summer and comfortable in winter.
We decided early on that Savrella would be a linen studio only. Doing one material well seemed more useful than doing three adequately.
