From flax field to finished sheet

Fiber
Flax is harvested, retted in the field and scutched to separate the long fibers. We use long-staple fiber for strength and a smoother hand.
Spinning and weaving
The yarn is wet-spun for a fine, even thread and woven in a plain weave at a midweight that balances drape and durability.
Finishing
Fabric is stonewashed for softness, then checked roll by roll for weaving faults before anything is cut.
Sewing
Pieces are cut, hemmed and finished with a plain, sturdy seam. Buttons and ties are tested on sample sets through repeated washing.
What goes in, in plain words
European flax. Our linen is woven from long-staple flax grown in Western Europe, where the climate suits the plant and the fiber is longest.
Stonewashed, not chemically softened. We soften the fabric mechanically so it arrives relaxed without coatings that wash out.
Plain colors, no prints. A small range of natural and mineral-dyed tones that sit together and do not go out of style.
